Why it is important to have an SSL on your website?

Secure information: The primary reason why SSL is used is to keep sensitive information sent across the Internet encrypted so that only the intended recipient can access it. SSL certificates are used to secure data transfers, credit card transactions, logins and other personal information.

Gain visitors trust: whoever visiting your website will have a negative impact if they see on browser not secure vice versa they will be confident surfing your site if they see secure with lock signature on website. SSL installation goes through mail, domain or identity verification. Such verification makes sure that no imposter creates a fake website pretending to be yours. In technical terms, this is called Phishing.

Effect your brand value: There is nothing important than your reputation in business. It extends beyond what you from your clients. Now a days we regularly hear news about cyber-attack, impact of these kind of attack on brands are long term. You simply cannot afford to risk it. Fortunately, SSL can help to protect your brand and even to build it.

Boosts SEO Ranking: Google recently announced that having an SSL Certificate is the easiest thing site owners can do to boost SEO ranking.  In 2014, Google made changes to its algorithm in order to give the upper hand to HTTPS-enabled websites. The Google search boost for using SSL applies to all sites, whether they have personal information or not. SSL provides encrypted connection between browser and server thus counted one of the important factor to boost SEO ranking.

Google Makes SSL Mandatory in 2018: To give a safer web browsing experience from 2018 onwards, Google has decided to flag the websites which do not have an SSL Certificate installed on their website. If anyone fails to comply with this rule, all the popular web browsers used around the globe like Google Chrome & Firefox Mozilla will punish them by giving a warning message of ‘Not Secure’ on the URL bar. It could be possible that in near future website may even get blocked to load on the browser. No matter which website you have, from a personal blog to any shopping portal SSL is mandatory and by not following with it may result in loss of visitors which is not something a website owner would like to face.
